Biggest Banyan Tree in Andhra Pradesh

Thimmamma Marrimanu is the name of a Banyan tree – marri means banyan and manu means tree in Telugu in Anantapur district, located about 25 km from town Kadiri in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. Its branches spread over 5 acres, with a canopy of 19,107 square metres and recorded as the biggest tree in the Guinness Book of World Records in 1989.
